Lake Elsinore: Parolee arrested after vehicle pursuit

Lake Elsinore, Ca - On Monday, July 1, 2013 at 6:40 PM, Lake Elsinore Police officers responded to the
area of Highway 74 and Rosetta Canyon for a burglary call. Prior to officers arriving on scene, information was received that the white male suspect, William Huntsinger, age 33 of Wildomar, was seen leaving the area in a Silver Honda Accord.

Responding officers saw the silver Honda and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect failed to stop when the officer attempted to stop him and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The suspect ultimately disabled his vehicle and was taken into custody by the pursuing officer. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for decontamination after being pepper-sprayed when he refused to exit the vehicle.

A small amount of a controlled substance and an open container of alcohol were located within the passenger compartment of the vehicle at the time of arrest. The suspect was booked at Southwest Detention Center under the charges of driving under the influence, evading police, possession of a controlled substance, violation of parole and possession of an open alcohol container.
