Murrieta: Cops Bust Ganja Grow Operation

Murrieta, Ca - Over the last several weeks, detectives from the Murrieta Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an investigation into a possible marijuana growing operation at 41700 Elm Street in the City of Murrieta.


On July 2, 2013 the investigation culminated into a search warrant at the warehouse location. A related traffic stop and a search of the warehouse resulted in the seizure of over 12 pounds of packaged marijuana, a sophisticated growing operation, marijuana plants in a variety of stages, and lab components for manufacturing honey oil. 

Ryan Murphy (36 years) and Randal Nelson (23 years) were arrested during the investigation. They were both booked into Southwest Detention Center on the following charges: 11379.6 HS Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 11358 HS Cultivation of Marijuana 11359 HS Possession of Marijuana for Sales 11360 HS Transportation of Marijuana for Sales.
