HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL OUR READERS

GLOW SKULLS, ZOMBIE NURSES, AND STICKY SWEETS

Temecula, CA – This Halloween there seems to be a little something for everyone here in T-town.

For the young Christians there are plenty of alternative parties with non-pagan themes and fun available at a number of churches around in the valley. if you are a member of one of these, I’m sure you know what’s cracking at your pew.

Besides the Halloween themed local club scene, there will be many house parties beside the usual ‘trick or treaters’ that descend on the neighborhoods.

For those in the music scene, the scene anchored by The Vault, that perennial punk/ska crew from Riverside, the VooDoo Glowskulls, will be rocking a full Halloween show card at that venue.

However, this reporter is headed to investigate a report of zombie Nurses, like the one pictured here, being spotted around parts of LA.

Is there a stoned undead?

GOOD TO THE LAST DOT

ECONOMIC CLIMATE CHANGE CAUSES ICE CREAM MELTDOWN

Temecula, CA – They say, everything comes to an end. For the end of marijuana prohibition that is a good thing, for the only Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream parlor located next to Shakey’s in the Palm Plaza, it’s not so good. At press time, it would appear that the local dessert eatery is kaput.

Opened in 2005, June, the ice cream of the future saw a debut month that shattered existing opening month records much the way Best Buy did in the days of the pennant flags. Over the years the business helped to put three girls through local colleges and keep a roof over the head of the Afghanistan family who owned it.

Now in its 25th year, the idea of frozen dots of ice cream, sherbets,  and ices has been knocked off, but for over 8 years locally, valley residents were treated to the original until today. There does remain the remote possibility of corporate takeover. After the jump we take a look back at when the First Dot rolled into town.

FOOTBALL NEWS AFTER WEEK SEVEN

FROM THE DESK OF THE “FUGITIVE” COMMISSIONER

Hello Football Fans,

I'm back from China, and noticed that the college Top 10 has gotten a shake-up.  It's not a big
reach to predict that there will be more unbeaten teams take a hit in the next four weeks.  Stay tuned.
In the NFL, we're not quite to the halfway point of the regular season.  Only one team remains unbeaten.

Read on and enjoy,

The Fugitive Commissioner of the FFHL

INSIDE VIEW FROM THE GREAT SATAN

JAMES BOND IS FICTION

Temecula, CA – The stats show a rise in police/civilian shootings, especially in the poorer
gang-related areas, like places in Santa Ana, but stats don’t provide a real clue, only a finger to point blame to the unarmed civilian. The following reported lifted from MSNBC, filed By Richard Engel, Chief Foreign Correspondent, NBC News, may offer a clue.

'A former Air Force drone operator who says he participated in missions that killed more than 1,600 people remembers watching one of the first victims bleed to death.'

Brandon Bryant stands with a Predator drone in Nevada.

FOOD DAY MARCH LEFTOVERS

99¢ STORES, WASHINGTON STATE, AND LA MOVE AGAINST GMOs

Temecula, CA – If pot is the new gold, then food is the new black. The low rungs of the 99% and
thrifty other ethnic groups/demos shop the 99¢ Store. Though appearing now on some scattered juice/bread brands in places like Von’s and Albertson’s, warning labels concerning GMOs and High Fructose Corn Syrup first turned up after Prop 37 at the 99¢ Stores indicating some food manufactures heard the concerns of moms like Zen Honeycutt, pictured here pointing out data linking autism to GMO pesticide.
NO GMO forces are pushing hard to make Washington State the next state to put a NO GMO law in force and join 67 countries that outlaw GMOs and their products.

Now my favorite big city, Los Angeles, is joining the fight to do what’s right.

THE WEED OF EGO GROWS IN THE GARDEN OF CANNABIS

DOPES IN DEALER CLOTHING

Temecula, CA – For these end times Jesus said, “Be aware”. That theme is central to most of the articles posted here. Usually we cover things like food, law bills, or politics.

You probably think that my favorite subject, cannabis, is itself all the awareness you need if you are involved in the medical movement. You would be wrong, Sports Fans, on that account of late, for the weed of Ego grows now at the heart of the ‘Legal Green In Fourteen’ movement to legalize recreational pot use in California for 2014.

Though highlighted in several recent stories here, there is a common misconception that all MMJ people who don’t looked ‘jacked’ [disabled] in a wheelchair must be stoners, or stoners pretending to be ‘sick’, that both market demos [stoners and MMJrs] freely intermingle, and that both demos are well known to each other. All three presumptions are completely erroneous.

There is one other, little reported, erroneous presumption.

PARTY MESSIAH ROCKS CHRISTIAN TEMECULA

BAND LIFE 2.0 - GET UP! GET LOUD!

Temecula, CA – When a band goes on hiatus, what do the musicians do? Having talent and drive to
play music in public isn’t a product made and distributed, cut and paste? Last night’s all ages music show at The Vault, headlining Andrew W.K., answered that question in spades while providing yet another music memory for the scene here.

So what does the lead-in picture to the right have to do with this story? Well, the guy in the picture, Ivan of The Vault Concerts, is the guy who put Temecula on the music map for young rockers as the ‘official’ Andrew W.K. black tour tee showed on the back, for among stops like Portland, Chicago, Denver, St. Louis, Detroit, and Cleveland, is Temecula, CA, Oct. 18. Woohoo!!

WILL ECHO GET MACARTHUR PARKED?

THE NEED OF GREED TO OVER EXCEED

Temecula, CA – There is an old saying, “You can’t run from your problems.”

Since traveling up to LA, my stories about local city gov craptacularness have dropped off the
charts; save the recent barb to the hard-hearted approach Murrieta took to MMJ. Since the problem with government is government, you can’t run away from the problem, especially in the big city.

There is one difference with the big city though, they brag about it there and post the misdeeds in public as a reminder. They don’t do that in T-town.

We have all swooned to the dreamy Jim Webb song ‘MacArthur Park’ but the real story is no dream, and the dire warning issued could be repeated for Echo Park, except for a plucky set dresser named Jen.

LOCAL AUTHOR GETS ‘AWESOME’ FIRST BOOK REVIEW

GUEST WRITER DJ CATTER FIRST TO SPOT RAVE

Temecula, CA – Hi new music lovers, this is DJ Catter. PT Rothschild is up in LA somewhere ‘playing with the 420Nurses’ so like before about six months or so ago, I’m here with some news of the first book review in for PT’s Memoirs, currently available at CreateSpace’s online bookstore and of course, at Amazon [@$2 off MSRP].

Several months after the Doomsday 2012 official book release, PT was nosing around his friends who had a copy hoping to get a written review. When released the book was somewhere in the 3million mark from #1. We sat around, joked about it, and toked to Memoirs being #1 on the NY Times bestseller list one day.

FOOTBALL NEWS AFTER WEEK #5

FROM THE DESK OF THE “FUGITIVE” COMMISSIONER

Hello Football Fans,

I am still fired up about last [10-3] Thursday night's game.  See letter for details.  The letter is longer this week, since I will be taking some time off.  Next letter will be about October 29th.

The Fugitive will be out searching for the one-armed man for a few weeks (remember, the real killer only got caught in the movie, and that’s not reality).  In a reverse Kung Fu (David Carradine, R.I.P.) search, I’m headed to China in the continuing quest to find my wife’s murderer.  I should be back and ready to kick out another newsletter on October 29th.  In the meantime, please pay attention and send me emails if you see anything really interesting.

[Youngsters say: “Who is David Carradine?”
Answer: Grasshopper (the name given to him by the blind Kung Fu master who heard a grasshopper sitting at the student Carradine’s feet]

Enjoy,
The Fugitive Commissioner of the FFHL, in search of the one-armed man

OK, Fugitive, get on with football - Ed

POWERS OF THE YOUTH LAGOON

GETTING NURSED IN LA

Temecula, CA – Occupy LA gave me the ability to compare the T-town talents that I have seen for
years against the world marketplace that is LA. True, there are a ton of bands but not many like the locals around here. However I did see a couple of bands that I would say reminded me of the cutting edge music around here. On Friday night at First Unitarian Church - Los Angeles, 2936 W 8th St, 90005, I will see Trevor Powers, whose stage name is Youth Lagoon.

He began his music career by writing his debut album The Year of Hibernation in 2010.  Based around the idea of psychological dysphoria, Powers tried to document the trails of his mind through songs of minimalism and hypnotic ambience.  Powers later described his writing process as "my mind communicating with me, not the other way around...it can take me to scary places but I've realized those bizarre thoughts I have don't define me."  After signing with Mississippi-based label Fat Possum Records in 2011, he toured much of the following year before going back into solitude to write.

FOOTBALL NEWS AFTER WEEK FOUR

FROM THE DESK OF THE “FUGITIVE” COMMISSIONER

Hello Football Fans,

I will forego any Gamblers Anonymous talk in this edition.

In college football, the Top 10 has been quite stable so far.  Still waiting for a few stunners.

In the NFL, the games are nearly always a toss-up.  In Week #4, 40% of the favorites lost straight up.

Enjoy,

The Fugitive Commissioner of the FFHL

TODAY’S WHORES

NOT READY FOR PRIMETIME

Temecula, CA – The title for this new piece came from watching the Today Show hosts first
sopping down the ‘drink more (fluoridated) water’ campaign from the FLOTUS, a campaign also picked on by Steven Colbert (the Calendar is in good company) though for a comic reason to get laughs. Next, a few days later amidst all the controversy surrounding Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines, the show has Thicke on to rock the song’s suggestive lyrics live. Even the fat weatherman rocked, or swayed it, haha!

And of course Monsanto is back with ALEC, this time in Oregon and the bought whores of that state. The definition of whore used here is ‘someone who is paid to fu*k you’.

Today Oregon legislators and Governor John Kitzhaber will decide whether they will do the bidding of out of state multinational biotech seed giants like Monsanto and Syngenta or whether they will stand up to protect Oregon's family farmers and the future of our seed supply.
