Menifee: Harvest Valley Elementary temporarily on lock down during police pursuit of robbery suspects, 3 arrested

Menifee, Ca - On May 20, 2015, at 10:15 a.m., officers from the Menifee Police Department were hailed down by a victim of a strong arm robbery that had just occurred in the 26900 block of Newport Boulevard, Menifee.  Two separate victims had their purses stolen by force.

Officers immediately broadcast information about the suspects involved in the robbery.  An officer was able to locate the vehicle used in the crime near the intersection of State Highway 74 and Briggs Road at 10:45 a.m..  A stop of the vehicle was initiated and the driver yielded.  While calling out passengers in the vehicle, one of the occupants ran off while simulating a handgun.  The suspect jumped the fence onto the Harvest Valley Elementary campus.  


The school was immediately placed on lockdown.  Officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect on campus immediately.  An extensive search of the campus and surrounding area by a K9 team, patrol officers, and the Sheriff's airship confirmed there were no firearms on campus.  An "all clear" was given at 12:08 p.m., returning the school to normal operations.

Sxxx Pxxx (26 years from Hemet), James Brady (30 years, transient from Hemet), and Rachel Fiore (26 years from Hemet) were booked into the county jail for the robbery and other related charges.
